SoloTracks is a music player for songs you already own, built to keep your music on your device. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do.
SoloTracks does not collect your name, email, phone number, or account details — the app has no account or sign-in. We never collect the names, titles, or artists of your songs, your file names, the text you type into search, or your precise location. We do not show ads, and we do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
To understand how the app is used and where people run into friction, SoloTracks collects anonymous, aggregate usage data through Google Analytics for Firebase. This is limited to how features are used — for example, that a song was played, that the speed control or A-B loop was used, that a screen was viewed, that a search returned results (never the search text itself), and the steps of the upgrade-to-Pro flow. These events are not tied to your identity and never include the content of your music, its titles, or artists.
To operate this, Google receives a randomly generated app-instance identifier, your device model and operating-system version, and an approximate location (country or region) that Google infers from your IP address. SoloTracks does not access your device's GPS or precise location. Google processes this data on our behalf; Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can learn how Firebase handles data at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Users in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland: we do not collect any analytics from you. Collection is automatically turned off for devices set to those regions.
We can disable analytics collection for an install and reset or delete the anonymous data associated with it. If you have a question or request about your data, email us at the address below.
Your music library, playlists, listening history, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. The actual contents — which songs you own and which ones you played and when — are never transmitted to us or to any third party. The only data that leaves your device is the anonymous usage analytics described above and the purchase verification described below.
The Wi-Fi Transfer feature creates a temporary local server on your device that is only reachable from other devices on the same Wi-Fi network. Files transferred this way travel directly between your devices and never touch any server we run.
SoloTracks Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple via the App Store. We use RevenueCat to verify your purchase status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier for your device — no personal information — solely to confirm whether you have purchased Pro. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
If the app crashes, your device may send anonymized crash diagnostics to Apple, depending on your device-level settings. You can manage this under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. We do not run any crash reporting service of our own.
SoloTracks is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The anonymous usage analytics described above are not tied to any individual's identity.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date. The app does not currently include a mechanism to notify you of changes; checking this page is the best way to stay informed.
